Someone...sometimes
 
Sometimes you need someone,
Someone that believes in you,
Who is there for you,
Who connects with you.
Sometimes you just need someone around you.
A friend,
A voice,
A person,
Just someone…sometimes.
 
But you didn’t call,
And you didn’t mail,
You just gave up,
Gave up without fighting for it,
Gave up on me…
…threw it all away, so easily.
 
Sometimes you just need to know,
Need to know that you are important to someone,
That you are special to someone,
That you are someone,…for someone….sometimes.
 
And I’d wished you would have called,
Only once,
You would have mailed,
Only once,
Didn’t give up so easily,
Only this time.
 
Sometimes you need someone,
Someone that isn’t there,
Someone that gave up,
Threw everything away.
 
Sometimes everything’s so clear….
 
You let me go away,
Didn’t say a word,
Let me give up on everything,
Let me walk away,
Because you never believed in us.
 
Someone…..sometimes.
