Playing Games

Stop playing around with me,
Those games you’re playing.

Smiling, teasing, flirting around,
Stop it, cuz it gives me hope,
A hope that’s nonexistent.

What you enjoy is to be desired by me,
It makes you feel oh so fine,
But do you ever think what it does to me?

It strokes your ego to see how I adore you,
To see my looks,
To hear my words,
But you prefer to close your eyes,
To not to see what it does inside of me.

You’re so damn handsome and oh so nice,
But you’re only playing the role I’ve fallen into,
And underneath it all you know you’re not what you pretend to be,
Pretend to be, for me.

Please stop playing games with me,
Because this game is no game to me.
Those are my feelings you’re holding in your hands,
And if you can’t return them,
Stop playing games with me.

Just tell the truth,
So I can give up my hopes on you,
Because everything you do right now,
Is what keeps me yearning for you.

I’m not a doll,
Blood is running thru my veins.
I’m not a toy,
Tears pour down my cheek.
It’s not a game,
I’m a human with feelings,
And you’re punching them against the wall.
